Week 5 Photos: Line and Shape

I was trying to take a picture through the window but I realised I had extention tubes on which caused the window itself to be on focus and I thought it looked cool. I picked part of the window with a hole to add some excitement.

I liked the lines made by the power lines here. I think it's a bit blown out and and I don't quite like the framing but I tried!

The lines and shapes here were interesting to me. I originally was taking it from a different angle but liked my shadow at a diagonal over the ground. It added more "texture" to the photo.

My Aunt is one of the coolest woman I know. She brought me this bamboo bowl during her last Operation Smile trips. I love the curved line and straight lines it creates. I think my depth of field was to shallow.

I got my first nice lens at Christmas. I was looking at it while moving the aperture and focus and it looked so cool. I also loved the reflections and the curves of the lens.

  1. I really like your first photo. I love how the viewer's eyes go right to that spot that's broken or that's frozen. I love the lines crossing each other. The contrast is nice.

  2. The third photo in here is so bloody cool. The flat horizontal lines of the grate conflict heavily with the diagonal shadow. It really creates an unnerving feeling. What is this nefarious shadow?? It's Britany!! And the texture is really cool, too.

  3. I really like the contrasting straight and curved lines in your 4th photo. I also like the circles in your 5th photo. It seems like they go down and down forever.
